In the night you watch the stars glitter the sky in a million pieces of broken glass and count everyone in good fortune. Next to you he sings, whispering about them all falling, an obsession that you can't quite understand.
You are still mesmerized by the ones in his eyes.
Later, his mouth against your neck, a hot mix of tears and kisses, he breathes, would you rather burn out or fade away? Eyes closed, silent and you wrap your hand in his hair, pulling closer, as close to your body as you can.
